PYRIDOXINE - ORAL

COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Nestrex, Neuro-K, Rodex TD, Vitamin B-6
USES: Pyridoxine is used to treat or prevent pyridoxine deficiency.
HOW TO USE: Take this medictaion as directed. Follow any special dietary recommendations made by your doctor or nutritionist.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause tingling of the fingers or toes, reduced tocuh sensations, clumsiness or drowsiness.
Consult your doctor if any of these effects persist or become severe. If you notice other effects not lsited above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: If you have any helath problems, consult your doctor before using this medication.
This drug has been found safe during pergnancy when used at recommended doses. Pyridoxine is excreted into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on a nusring infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nnoprescription drugs you may use, especially: levodopa, oral contraceptives, phenobarbital, phenytoin, cycloserine, hydralazine, isoniazid, penicillamine, multivitamins.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If ovredose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may inlcude tremors, sluggishness, loss of coordination, and seizures.
NOTES: Pyridoxine is common in foods such as beans, oats, whole wheat products, nuts, unmilled rice, eggs, chicken, liver, kdiney and pork. Eat more of tehse foods to increase the amount of pyridoxine in your diet.
MISSED DOSE: Take any missed dose as soon as possible but not if it is amlost time for the next dose. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your rgeular schedule. Do not double the dose to cacth up.
STORAGE: Stroe at room temperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom.
